This might surprise a lot of people, but one of those issues is not quarterback Bo Nix.
In watching this offense it has become pretty clear that the passing game is being disrupted by Nix’s lack of trust in the interior line where Ben Powers and Luke Wattenberg are mostly responsible in pass protection. He bailed away from that side of the line whether there is pressure there or not. A change there would be good, but that never seems to happen.

I went and looked at 2025 also and found four of Nix’s five 295+ passing yard games came during the stretch of games when Powers was on injured reserve. Just something to look for moving forward. Maybe it’s not Bo Nix, but a protection issue.
The second one is getting Jonah Coleman healthy. J.K. Dobbins had a few decent runs late in Sunday’s game, but he was wholly ineffective for much of that game. It just seemed like he has no juice left. Getting into some better second and third down and distances would also be huge for this offense.
Fixing one or both of these issues would go a long way towards all of us enjoying the offensive gameplay each week.
That’s my feeling about the offense right now. There are other issues, to be sure, but I believe if they can get these two fixed then the offense as a whole can overcome the rest. What do you think? Let me have it in the comments!
