“We want to provide an alternative retail experience,” said Claire Seizovic, organizer of the Ensemble Market at Bookman’s Alley, in the rear at 1712 Sherman Ave. “We want to introduce people to these businesses,” she said. “Like the farmers market, this provides a chance for people to get together.” Thirteen pop-up shops from Evanston, Chicago and Oak Park are selling art, vintage clothing, home objects, plants, jewelry and ceramics.
