The Las Vegas Raiders have been healthy for most of the offseason. While there a few players experiencing bumps and bruises nothing serious has hit the roster.
That changed on Thursday when a young cornerback went down. Chigozie Anusiem was injured on Thursday against the Houston Texans. The team announced on Saturday that he will be sent to the reserve/injured list and sit out the rest of the season.

While Anusiem was a fringe roster player, the Raiders will need to find depth for the last preseason game of the season. This could lead to more playing time next week for a few younger cornerbacks on the roster. Somebody will have to step up and fill the hole.
Anusiem was signed to the Raiders’ active roster in Week 15 of the 2025 season after stints with the Browns and Cardinals. He has appeared in four career games, primarily on special teams.
