Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent is back with Season 2, but the latest episode has already sparked a lot of discussion online. While many avid viewers of IGL have been unhappy with what they feel are safer jokes this season, others have questioned the editing and called the new episodes less funny than the previous season.

Amid the mixed reactions, fans continue to wait for every new episode. The latest episode, released on Friday, featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhuvan Bam, Kaustubh Agarwal and casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

Soon after the episode dropped, several clips from the show went viral on social media. From Samay making jokes about Mukesh’s girlfriend to brutally roasting Nawazuddin, and Bhuvan Bam taking digs at Samay, the episode gave viewers plenty to talk about.

During the episode, Samay joked about Mukesh Chhabra’s casting company and suggested that he might take advantage of people in exchange for giving them roles. While Samay was making the jokes, Mukesh told him that his girlfriend would be watching the show.

Samay then jokingly reacted, “You have a girlfriend too?” before asking, “For which movie did you cast her?” He also hinted that there could be another angle involved in the casting process.

Reddit post claims show was stopped for 15 minutes

Following the episode, a Reddit post allegedly written by someone claiming to have been present during the shoot surfaced online. The post claimed that Mukesh Chhabra was unhappy with Samay’s joke about his girlfriend and that the shoot was reportedly stopped for around 15 minutes.

According to the post, Mukesh had no issue with jokes about him personally, but allegedly reacted strongly when Samay brought his girlfriend into the joke. The post further claimed that Bhuvan Bam stepped in to calm the situation.

Screenshots from the episode were also shared along with the post, adding to the buzz around the alleged incident.

However, these claims have not been independently verified. Neither Samay Raina nor Mukesh Chhabra has publicly confirmed the alleged incident or commented on the claim that the shoot was halted for 15 minutes.

Bhuvan Bam’s Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha joke gets Mukesh Chhabra’s attention

The episode also saw Bhuvan Bam making a joke involving Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and actress Rekha.

It all started when contestant Prateek Bhardwaj mimicked Amitabh Bachchan on stage. Impressed by his performance, Bhuvan asked, “Aapke talent ki koi rekha hai?” referring to Rekha.

The reference left the panel and audience laughing, but Mukesh Chhabra immediately reacted to the joke. He warned Bhuvan, saying, “Beta tera abhi toh film career shuru hua hai, mere jaan.”(Your film career has just begun).
