The Los Angeles Rams beat the New Orleans Saints by a final score of 34-0 in Week 2 of the NFL preseason. As the Rams try to determine who should be their backup quarterback, Stetson Bennett showed out against the Saints with NFL level throws, and mobility in the redzone.
Bennett looked better for the Rams than the opposing former first round pick in Zach Wilson did for the Saints.

Now, was Bennett better because the Rams have depth in ways that the Saints do not? Doesn’t matter. What matters is Bennett may have solidified his spot on the Los Angeles Rams today, and or, he confirmed he belongs in the NFL.
Bennett went 14-31 for 181 passing yards with two rushing scores. Bennett dinked and dunked, yes, he took what was there, and when he needed to he made big throws. Credit the running game, no doubt, and Bennett converted when the mattered.
Densive back Al’Zillion Hamilton had nice interception for the Rams on Saturday helping the team have a very strong first half, and Bennett took advantage.
Bennett, with help from the defense, led the team to a 20-0 lead. In the second half, the Saints marched down the field, but Spencer Rattler threw a pick-six to Alex Cook to make the lead 27-0 for the Rams.

L.A. might have depth and their special teams has looked nice with kicker Harrison Mevis making his kicks.
Ty Simpson wasn’t asked to do too much, but he had a nice showing with the opportunity he had as he led the Rams down the field and second-year player Jarquen Hunter ran it in to truly put the game away with a 34-0 lead.
It’s preseason and the Rams have looked good in preseason.
They have one more week of preseason before the real deal for Week One against the San Francisco 49ers.
