The New York Giants have signed veteran linebacker Malik Harrison to their practice squad.

Harrison is a seven-year veteran who’s a very familiar face for head coach John Harbaugh. Harrison was originally a third-round pick out of Ohio State by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Harrison played for the Ravens until 2024, and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025. While Harrison signed a two-year $10 million contract with the Steelers, he spent most of last year on injured reserve after injuring his knee in Week 1. He was released by the Steelers in final cutdowns this summer.

Harrison has great size at 6-foot-3, 247 pounds, with good athleticism, and 43 starts in 87 appearances.

It remains to be seen if Harrison will be on the field for the Giants, but he’s been an NFL caliber player in his career.

The Giants released UDFA defensive tackle Ben Barten to open the spot on their practice squad.
