Tye New York Giants are working are continuing to tinker with their roster as they get ready to open training camp.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN is reporting that the Giants hosted former SMU safety Ahmaad Moses on Monday. Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 is likewise reporting that the Giants also worked out former Purdue DB Tony Grimes, as a well as veteran CB Sam Webb.

Moses is an undersized safety at 5-foot-9, 192 pounds, but is an explosive athlete who had a 38-inch vertical. He’s regarded as an instinctive playmaker who also has upside on special teams. He went undrafted after the 2026 NFL Draft after an MRI revealed a herniated disc. He had spinal fusion surgery four months ago and was recently cleared.

Grimes has solid size for a corner at 6-foot, 195 pounds, with twitchy athleticism and long (33 1/2 inch) arms. Grimes was regarded as a blue-chip recruit (6th overall recruit in the country, per ESPN) and previously played for North Carolina, Texas A&M, and UNLV before transferring to Purdue for 2025.

The Giants previously worked out Webb earlier in the off-season. He’s played for the Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers, and Cleveland Browns. Webb has played in 36 games with 5 starts in his career, with 45 tackles, 4 passes defensed, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble. He has experience on special teams as defense.
