When it comes to the NFC, everyone is chasing the Los Angeles Rams.

They may not have made it to the Super Bowl last year, but the Rams are considered the favorites in the conference after several big offseason moves. They traded for Trent McDuffie and Myles Garrett and signed Jaylen Watson to a big deal. After making it all the way to the NFC Championship last year, the Rams are now not only the Vegas favorite to win the conference, but they are clear Super Bowl favorites as well (+550 odds, per FanDuel Sportsbook).

But which NFC team is most likely to challenge them this year? That was the topic on NFL Network’s “GMFB” earlier this week. The Bears, Eagles, and Seahawks were among the teams discussed. But the Lions also made their list of contenders.

“The Lions are a really, really good team,” former WWE star Seth Rollins—now a regular on “GMFB” said. “They had a rough year last year, but they are a really, really well-coached team. Jared Goff is an excellent quarterback. They’re an efficient offense. Jahmyr Gibbs is going to take the brunt of the load this year and I think he’s ready for it. He could be an MVP candidate at running back. That’s how good I think he is. I’m on the Kyle Brandt wagon when it comes to Jahmyr Gibbs. The Lions are a really, really good team, and I think people are kinda overlooking them because they didn’t make the playoffs last year.”

Rollins would continue to wax poetic about the Lions’ offense, putting them right up there with the Rams, in terms of overall talent.

It’s a good reminder that while there are warranted questions about Detroit‘s defense, their offense is stacked with talent and it could carry this team quite far.
