In the NFL, you are either one of the top teams fighting each week to stay there, be it at the top of your division or conference, or one of the “lesser” teams fighting to get through the season. The “lesser teams” generally set their sights on one team they are working to catch and eventually compete with on a level playing field. For our Miami Dolphins, the team that we can all remember chasing the longest, or the team that the entire organization was focused on catching up to and competing directly with for the better part of two decades, was the New England Patriots. Eventually, New England’s starting quarterback, Tom Brady, left the team, and the Josh Allen-led Buffalo Bills stepped up in the AFC East to take the crown as the team everyone else was chasing. Last season shifted yet again back to the Pats for at least a season, with second-year quarterback Drake Maye leading his team to an improbable Super Bowl appearance.

Which team, in your opinion, should our Miami Dolphins focus on as the team to “chase,” or at least catch up to, in roster and play quality, in the division or even the conference, as they continue their latest rebuild, and why?
