Former NBA first-round pick MarJon Beauchamp will continue his career overseas, having signed with Bayern Munich for the 2026/27 season, according to a press release from the German team.
The 24th overall pick in the 2022 draft, Beauchamp appeared in 149 regular season NBA games for the Bucks, Sixers, Knicks, and Clippers during the past four seasons. Although he showed flashes of promise, the 25-year-old forward was unable to establish himself as a consistent rotation player, averaging 4.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game, with a .431/.352/.712 shooting line.
Beauchamp spent most of the 2025/26 season on a two-way contract with Philadelphia, making 14 NBA appearances for the team while also averaging 23.8 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 4.0 APG on .481/.372/.780 shooting in 24 outings (36.8 MPG) for the Delaware Blue Coats in the G League. However, last season was his final year of two-way eligibility, which likely reduced the number of NBA opportunities available to him this offseason.
“I won’t hide the fact that I see myself as an NBA player, but this move to Europe is now part of my journey, and I’m really excited to be playing for Coach Anton (Gavel) and Bayern,” Beauchamp said in a statement. “I want to grow as a player at Bayern and become a better basketball player. I want to prove my talent and learn every day how the game is played in Europe—I’m a fast learner, and I’ll prove that in every practice.”
Beauchamp added that he views himself as an “athletic wing” who can play multiple positions and guard an opponent’s best player.
Beauchamp is one of three former NBA players who have signed with Bayern Munich so far this summer. The German club previously added guard Duane Washington Jr. and forward Miles Norris to its roster, which also features Rokas Jokubaitis and Justinian Jessup, a pair of former second-round picks who have never played in the NBA.
Bayern Munich posted a league-best 29-5 record in Germany’s Basketball Bundesliga last season but lost in the finals to ALBA Berlin. Bayern was outside of the playoff picture in the EuroLeague, finishing 13th with a record of 17-21.
