ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Last week United Way of Virgina’s Blue Ridge kicked off its annual Heroes Project.

The project announced heroes in leadership, nominated by you – the community.

Today, 7@four is sitting down with one of those heroes whose compassion is changing lives in our community.

Steve Stinson is the founder of 3 Balloons, a unique workshop he launched in 2025 to help young adults with disabilities discover their talents and gain meaningful employment.

Through hands-on training, Steve is creating more than job opportunities—he’s building confidence, connection, and a true sense of belonging.

His calm, patient leadership and genuine love for each individual have made a lasting impact not only on the young adults he serves, but on their families as well.
