L.A. Rams News: Madden ‘27 gives them two of the best players

Madden ’27 is coming out, and its best players are traditionally given a rating of 99 (not 100) and Matthew Stafford and Myles Garrett will be coming to the new video game each with their own 99 rating. It doesn’t mean anything other than it’s expected that Stafford and Garrett are two of the best players at their position going into the 2027 season.

Will video game ratings matter on Sunday’s? No. Do video games ratings matter at all? In terms of Madden, for a lot of fans and players, it’s neat. To be rated so highly in Madden is something many players who grew up playing Madden are proud of.

Say what you want (and you should!), but if Stafford and Garrett play as well as the video games expects, the Rams should be fun to watch.

Murray, a 2020 UDFA from William and Mary, spent his first four professional football seasons with the New England Patriots. A defensive tackle by trade, he transitioned to guard in the NFL and played for the Chicago Bears in 2023 and 2024. He spent 2025 on the Patriots and Colts‘ practice squads.”
