Golden Tempo got to wear the Garland of Roses after winning the 152nd Kentucky Derby on Saturday at Churchill Downs. Sired by Curlin, the 3-year-old colt won the race in 2:02.27. Renegade was the runner-up while Ocelli finished third.
Golden Tempo was ridden by Jose Ortiz and trained by Cherie DeVaux. The horse was bred in Kentucky and is co-owned by Phipps Stable (Daisy Phipps Pulito) and St. Elias Stable (Vincent Viola).
