Johnny Wilson has reverted to the Philadelphia Eagles‘ injured reserve list after going unclaimed on waivers (as expected), according to the NFL’s official personnel notice.
The Eagles previously waived Wilson with an injury designation on Friday afternoon.

Wilson suffered a knee injury in training camp that caused him to miss time. The 25-year-old wide receiver returned for just one practice before then going back on the injury report.
While on injured reserve, Wilson is ineligible to play during the 2026 season. This after also missing the entirety of last year due to injury.
It remains to be seen if the Eagles will waive Wilson from IR with an injury settlement or if they’ll hang on to their 2024 sixth-round pick.
Either way, it’s a shame that Wilson has struggled to stay healthy. He was overcoming a slow start to camp in 2025 before getting hurt. And he did some nice things this offseason before getting injured again.

Wilson was hardly in line for a major role in the Eagles’ offense, assuming he would’ve even made the roster. But his 6’6″, 231 pound frame could’ve been good to have around as a jump ball option and a blocker.
Alas, it wasn’t meant to be.
