The Jets have received relatively good news on two of their injured players.
Minkah Fitzpatrick and Omar Cooper Jr. are being viewed as week-to-week with their respective injuries, but as of now aren’t expected to require a trip to injured reserve, head coach Aaron Glenn said.

That means the hope is they’ll be ready to roll before the four-week minimum.
Cooper, the 30th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, is dealing with an ankle sprain suffered in the first half of the season opener against the Titans.
Fitzpatrick also injured his groin in the first half of the victory.
With both sidelined, the Jets will have to lean on their depth for the time being.
“We have other experienced guys and that’s the good thing about our team right now,” Glenn said this week. “Those guys are going to have to step up.”
RB Kene Nwangwu (back) and EDGE Joseph Ossai (foot) are also week-to-week.
