Pat yourself on the back. You survived another full NFL offseason! Congratulations to ya.
Today, our Jacksonville Jaguars will kick off their 2026 season at home against the Cleveland Browns.
The Jaguars are all-too familiar with the opposing quarterback, but the opposing coaching staff is a bit of an unknown. Todd Monken is getting his first shot as a head coach, and all three of his coordinators are first-timers as well, including Mike Rutenberg on defense.

“It’s always interesting playing a team Week 1 that has a new defensive coordinator and I’m sure there’s going to be some wrinkles, some things that maybe are different that show up that we’re going to have to adjust to on the fly. That’s playing football,” Trevor Lawrence said Wednesday. “That happens a lot of games, even if it’s teams that have had their D-Coordinator a long time.”
“I would imagine that there’s some similarities because they want to keep some consistency, but I also think that they could have some really good new wrinkles on whether it’s third down, red zone, passing situations, that’s where it’ll be interesting to see exactly what they want to do.”
