Mac McClung, a two-time NBA G League MVP who won the award for a second time this spring, is considered “increasingly likely” to continue his playing career overseas, reports Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews. According to Urbonas, multiple teams in the EuroLeague have registered interest in the free agent guard.

McClung appeared in 40 total games for the Windy City Bulls during the 2025/26 season, averaging a whopping 29.5 points per game on .515/.384/.779 shooting. He also contributed 7.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per contest for Chicago’s NBAGL affiliate.

Although McClung, a three-time slam dunk contest champion, has only made 17 career NBA regular season appearances, he no longer has any two-way eligibility remaining, since those 17 outings were spread across four seasons. Finding a spot on a standard roster to open the NBA season is probably a long shot, which explains why the 27-year-old is considering his options in Europe. It’s unclear which specific teams are eyeing him.

• Former NBA forward Alize Johnson is finalizing a deal to join Paris Basketball for the upcoming season, sources tell Urbonas. Johnson made 76 NBA regular season appearances from 2018-23 for six teams and has since played in South Korea, Puerto Rico, Japan, China, and the G League.
• Former Celtics forward Miles Norris, who finished the 2024/25 season on a two-way contract with Boston before being waived last August, has signed a two-year contract with Bayern Munich, the German team announced in a press release. A former UC Santa Barbara standout, Norris is no stranger to European basketball, having played in Turkey in 2024 before spending the 2025/26 season with Barcelona.
• Longtime NBA center Daniel Theis was expected to join ASVEL for the 2026/27 season, but with the French team dealing with financial issues, that deal appears to be in jeopardy. According to Tomer Givati of Israel Hayom, Maccabi Tel Aviv is aggressively pursuing Theis, with Hapoel Tel Aviv also in the mix. Kevin Martorano of Sportando suggests Barcelona could be in play for the big man as well.
