The Hornets announced their preseason schedules on Monday, according to Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer.
Here’s the four-game preseason slate for Charlotte (all times are listed in ET):
The Hornets are coming off a season in which they went 44-38 and were eliminated in the play-in tournament in the final game for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. Charlotte has missed the playoffs each of the past 10 seasons, the longest streak in the NBA.
As Stefan Bondy of The New York Post tweets, the Nets also announced their 2026/27 preseason schedule today. Brooklyn will play four games, starting with the aforementioned matchup at Charlotte.

Brooklyn went 20-62 in 2025/26, the third-worst record in the league. The team has missed the playoffs for the past three years.
The Hornets and Nets have been active this summer. Both teams were participants in the six-team mega-deal that sent LaMelo Ball to Minnesota, Naz Reid to Charlotte, and Julius Randle to Brooklyn, among other moving parts. The Hornets also added a pair of first-round picks — Hannes Steinbach (No. 14) and Christian Anderson Jr. (No. 18) — while the Nets selected Mikel Brown Jr. sixth overall.
