The Hawks have signed free agent big man Will Baker, per a team press release.

While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, the 25-year-old center almost certainly received an Exhibit 10 from the Hawks.

Baker, who went undrafted in 2024 out of LSU, has spent the past two seasons in the G League, having suited up for the Iowa Wolves in 2024/25 and the Osceola Magic in ’25/26.

A 6’11” center, Baker averaged 9.5 points and 6.2 rebounds on .625/.375/.712 shooting splits in 43 appearances (18.6 minutes per game) with Orlando’s NBAGL affiliate last season. He most recently played for the Magic’s Summer League team in Las Vegas two months ago.

An Exhibit 10 contract, which can be converted into a two-way deal, is non-guaranteed and doesn’t count against the salary cap unless the player makes the regular season roster, at which point it’s essentially converted into a typical non-guaranteed contract. Exhibit 10 deals also entitle a player to a bonus worth up to $91K (on top of his typical NBAGL salary) if he’s waived before the season starts and spends at least 60 days with his team’s affiliate club, in this case the College Park Skyhawks.

The Hawks now have 20 players under contract, one below the offseason limit of 21.
