In conjunction with our friends from the FanDuel Sportsbook, we are going to take a look at some of the player prop bets that they’ve put up for the Minnesota Vikings game for each particular week. We do this in the interest of, hopefully, helping those of you who choose to add excitement. . .or anxiety. . to your Vikings football experience by putting money into the equation to come out on the plus side of the ledger. It’s always good to win, after all, isn’t it?

Hopefully, this week will come out better than the last two weeks have. Yours truly only managed to go 1-for-3 for the second consecutive week, and the one that was supposed to be a “gimme” didn’t even hit. I was correct on Aaron Jones going over his rushing yardage prop, but Justin Jefferson had a down game (as did every other Vikings’ pass catcher), and while the Vikings did get an interception of Caleb Williams, it was not collected by Harrison Smith.
But, once more into the breach I go in the hopes of doing significantly better. Here’s what I’m looking at for this week, folks.
Kyler Murray Passing Yardage: Over 209.5 yards (-114)

If he can manage to make it through more than one quarter, he should be able to make some plays against this Buccaneers‘ pass defense. So far this season, they’ve allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete more than 75% of their passes at a clip of 7.6 yards/attempt and have registered just three sacks through the first two games. I know that Murray still has some adjusting to do in Kevin O’Connell’s offense, but he was brought in here to push the ball down the field, so if he can stay on the field he should have his opportunities to do that.
Aaron Jones Rushing Yardage: Under 50.5 yards (-114)
Jones put together a heroic effort in the rain and wind and slop in Chicago last week, but he took a significant beating in doing so. He doesn’t have an injury designation for this week, but I think the Vikings might want to try to work some other backs into the picture this week to try to keep him from getting banged up any worse. Tampa has been fairly stout against the run thus far as well.
Same Game Parlay: Justin Jefferson to have 7+ catches and 70+ receiving yards and score a touchdown anytime (+346)

Again, the reasoning behind bringing Kyler Murray in to play quarterback for this team was simple: He was going to get the ball to Justin Jefferson. There isn’t going to be rain and wind in Tampa this week, and I don’t think the Buccaneers have anyone who’s really capable of slowing #18 down, so there is plenty of reason to be optimistic about this one, in my opinion.
Those are my picks for this week’s prop bets, ladies and gentlemen. Are there any specific bets that you’ve got your eyes on this week?
