We are heading into our final weekend before the start of the Steelers season. The team had an up-and-down preseason, with plenty of encouraging signs and reasons for concern. Now that we’re on the doorstep of the new season, let’s get a temperature for how we’re feeling about the state of the team. Share whatever is top of mind or the nagging voice you have deep down about the upcoming 2026 Steelers season.
Short of winning the Super Bowl, you’ll consider the 2026 season a success for the team if (BLANK — finish the thought in the comments)?
Let’s make some low-stakes guesses about some team leaders. Who is the team MVP this year? Who has the best season among the 11 rookies on the team? Who leads the team in receptions? Scrimmage yards? Touchdowns? How many sacks does the defense get as a unit? How many turnovers will the defense generate? Which TE gets the most snaps between Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington? More rushing yards between Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle? Feel free to answer as many or as few of these as you wish.
