Seattle Seahawks QB Drew Lock completed 16 of his 22 passing attempts for 187 yards and a touchdown in a Week 1 victory over the New England Patriots. Lock added 13 yards on two carries.
Why It Matters: Lock was forced into action when Sam Darnold (hip) sustained a hip injury on the opening drive. It didn’t always look great, but Lock made some clutch throws, highlighted by a 45-yard touchdown to Jaxon Smith-Njigba on a fourth down. What his role will be going forward depends on the severity of Darnold’s injury, but even if he’s asked to make some starts Lock doesn’t offer much fantasy appeal.
