Daejon Love never played a snap for the 49ers.
That didn’t stop the internet from giving him a highlight reel anyway.
A roughly 40-second parody video making the rounds online packages Love’s alleged fake NFL persona like a legitimate preseason breakout story, complete with real 49ers footage, broadcast graphics and a dead-serious scouting-style bio.

The joke gets progressively more absurd.

On-screen notes claim Love trains with Tyreek Hill, Antonio Brown and John Brown, owns three homes worth more than $15 million and landed a “private contract” with San Francisco through NFL connections. His infamous pinky injury even makes the scouting report.
Viewers happily added to the fictional résumé.
“Love >>> Aiyuk,” one person joked, while another remembered an entirely imaginary championship performance: “I remember him winning the Super Bowl with 8 catches for 150 yds and 2 TDs. F—en legend.”
Another commenter praised the fake prospect’s development: “His routes got better since the beach.”
The Rams even got dragged into the bit.

The reactions are an extension of a bizarre story that has already reached actual NFL stars. Tyreek Hill jokingly played along after Love reportedly claimed the two trained together, while John Brown emphatically denied ever knowing him. Travis and Jason Kelce have also weighed in on the alleged scheme.

Federal prosecutors accuse Love, 35, and Taylor Jamie Chan, 18, of using romance and investment schemes to take approximately $1.3 million from at least 26 women.
The parody may be particularly unavoidable for real 49ers rookie De’Zhaun Stribling.

Stribling switched from No. 15 to No. 7 — the same number Love used while portraying himself as a 49er — and immediately became part of the joke.
He has called the coincidence “hilarious” and “kind of crazy.”
At this rate, Stribling may need a big rookie season just to reclaim No. 7 from a guy who never actually played a down.
