What goes up must come down, and that is true for rosters in the NFL.
The Dallas Cowboys signed Von Miller on Sunday evening and that put them one player over their allotted 90-man roster (Dallas actually has 91 thanks to Adedayo Odeleye who is allowed as a result of the NFL International Player Pathway) so they had to make a move.

Traeshon Holden has been cut.
As the DMN’s Joe Hoyt notes, Saturday’s preseason opener featured a costly muffed punt from Holden. Whether or not that was the catalyst for his cutting or if the math simply worked out that way is unknown, but it certainly matters in that conversation that Camden Brown separated himself from the group.
Holden had taken to Instagram early on Monday and made it seem like he was the player who was being cut. Obviously that wound up true.
We’ll see when Miller will be able to start practicing.
