Glamorgan and Hampshire were frustrated by a constant series of showers in Cardiff with only 19 overs bowled on day two.

Glamorgan crawled from 111-7 overnight to 149-9, still 13 runs behind, as they lost Mason Crane for eight and Dan Douthwaite for 21.

Sonny Baker, a late arrival in the match after being released by England, formed a hostile pace trio with Kyle Abbott and Eddie Jack, each claiming three wickets.

The myriad of interruptions was particularly galling for Division One bottom side Hampshire, who need to win and whose bowlers worked hard to give them a marginal advantage.

But with more bad weather due over the weekend, it could take another crash of wickets to allow a positive result either way.
