The wait is almost over; the Cleveland Browns 2026 regular season is almost upon us, with the team starting their normal practice schedule on Wednesday. With the week off after the initial 53-man roster, Labor Day on Monday, and the first official 2026 regular season game on Wednesday, nothing about the start of the season has felt normal.
What is normal is the constant changing of the roster by Browns GM Andrew Berry.

On September 3rd, we presented Cleveland’s combined roster, with their 53-man and practice squads combined. At that point, Berry had already made changes to the initial rosters. On Monday, the Browns switched out defensive linemen on the practice squad, and now, after working out nine during Monday’s practice, Berry is back to making moves:
Signed WR Bub Means: There was a report that the team was going to bring in Means to the initial practice squad; instead, the 6’2″ receiver joins that squad over a week later.
Signed DE Nadame Tucker: Among Monday’s workouts, Tucker is a 26-year-old rookie. Tucker had a productive preseason with the Los Angeles Chargers but didn’t make their initial 53-man roster and was just released from their practice squad and now joins Cleveland’s version.
Released WR Bryce Oliver: Signed to the practice squad six days ago, Oliver is a 6’1″, 215-pound receiver who went to Youngstown State. He has played in 13 games with seven receptions and, as noted below, played a lot of special teams. His ’25 season was cut short due to injury.
Released P Wes Pahl: Competition for Corey Bojorquez; Pahl’s time on the roster seemed unlikely to last given how most teams use their practice squad.
