It is finally that time of year where NFL teams return to the practice fields for training camp. New schemes will be installed, new players and coaches will get their shot to show they belong and football fans get to scratch the itch of the game returning.

The Cincinnati Bengals are no different. There is an air of excitement around the team and its fanbase. We will see defensive players like Dexter Lawrence and Bryan Cook take the field and get an idea of how they will fit.

The much more boring side of things are the injury lists and players who will be on it. B.J. Hill is the only notable player so far, and he is just on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Rookie center Connor Lew avoids any injury list after suffering a torn ACL. It is a good sign Lew will be able to practice. He is worth monitoring as Ted Karras is 33-years-old, and while he will always be welcome as a Bengal, father time remains undefeated. We may be getting a good look at the next center for Cincinnati depending on how slowly the team brings him along.
