Observations from Tuesday’s Giants practice:
Arvell Reese’s impressive first training camp continued Tuesday. During a 7-on-7 red zone period, the inside linebacker tipped a Jaxson Dart pass to himself and came down with the ball.

The offense tried to sneak a receiver behind the first-round pick while sending a running back into the flat, but Reese read Dart’s eyes.

The first-team offense was shaky. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said the effort wasn’t “good enough.”
Dart threw the aforementioned interception and could’ve had another when he forced a pass over the middle that Jason Pinnock deflected into the air.
Fortunately, a diving Chris Manhertz came down with it. Dart was sacked several times.
Second-year tight end Thomas Fidone II made the play of the day for the offense, a diving one-handed catch of a Jameis Winston throw 30 yards down the middle of the field.

Fidone, a seventh-round 2025 draft pick out of Nebraska, also scored a touchdown later in practice.
Outside linebacker Abdul Carter (hand) returned to practice.
Cornerback Paulson Adebo (undisclosed), center John Michael Schmitz (concussion), center/guard Lucas Patrick (knee) and wide receivers Jalin Hyatt (leg/ankle) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) didn’t practice.
