The Cardinals did not win Thursday night’s Hall of Fame Game, but the team still came away with a phenomenal first look at rookie quarterback Carson Beck who got the start.
Beck finished with 15 completions on 19 attempts, throwing for 188 yards and a touchdown pass to wideout Simi Fehoko. This performance is all the more impressive given just how underwhelming the initial football product has become in the year’s first preseason game. It’s the least crisp everyone on the field will be all season and Beck and Co. still found a way to put up 30 points and complete 83 percent of his passes.

With three more preseason exhibitions to go, we’ll get to see a lot more of Beck in the weeks to come. Here’s to hoping the momentum continues.
