Whether it’s due to talent or circumstances, certain players impact the game more than others week in and week out. The Dallas Cowboys have several such players who can help turn the tide at any moment in any given game. To hopefully get their season back on track and start stacking some wins together, they need these players to step up now more than ever.
In the Week 9 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts we believe the Cowboys have a player on each side of the ball who will impact the game in a big way in this week, and we discuss why these two individuals should help sway the game in the Cowboys favor.

The offensive game plan and play-calling for Brian Schottenheimer should be an easy one this week, run the ball early and often. The Indianapolis Colts currently ranked 27th in the league in run defense, allowing 131.8 rushing yards per game.
That should equate to a big game for Javonte Williams, and possibly Tyler Goodson as well. These two combined for nearly 200 total rushing yards a couple weeks ago against the Eagles and could duplicate that success in this Week 9 matchup with the Colts.
We expect No. 33 to have a huge impact on the outcome of the game and predict he’ll have his second 100+ rushing yard performance of the season. This, of course, all hinges on how the offensive line performs. They’ve been a little hit and miss all season, but are at their best when run blocking. If everything comes together and plays out as we expect, Dallas’ run game should propel them to victory this week.

Quinnen Williams got off to somewhat of a slow start to the 2026 season, but has recently been playing at an elite level. He completely dominated in what was unfortunately a losing effort last week against the Arizona Cardinals, collecting a couple of QB sacks. He dominate once again in this Week 9 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts, whose offensive line has been struggling, especially along the interior.
Williams should be licking his chops for this matchup. We fully expect him to test the Colts rookie LG Jalen Farmer, a fourth-round pick this year, early and often. He replaced All-Pro Quenton Nelson after he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks a few weeks ago. This is a battle No. 92 should be able to easily exploit to his advantage, and in so doing, help secure the “W” for the Cowboys.
