The New York Giants on Wednesday signed offensive tackle Josh Sills off the Indianapolis Colts practice squad, head coach John Harbaugh announced during his post-practice media session.
Sills, 28, has played in 21 games for the Colts and Philadelphia Eagles since 2022. He is a former undrafted free agent. Sills has played 41 offensive and 79 special teams snaps.

The move was necessitated by injuries at the tackle position.
The team’s top three tackles — Andrew Thomas (groin), Jermaine Eluemunor (calf), and Marcus Mbow missed practice on Wednesday.
Thomas has been managing his groin injury since Week 2. He has played in each game since despite practicing sparingly. Eluemunor missed last week’s game. Mbow, Eluemunor’s replacement, appeared to suffer an injury late in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. He is on the injury report with a knee issue. Other than Sills, the only healthy tackle on the roster is rookie J.C. Davis. Davis saw his first game action last Sunday in relief of Thomas during the fourth quarter.
Also of concern on the injury report, starting safety Jevon Holland and starting cornerback Greg Newsome II have concussions, and starting inside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds missed Wednesday’s practice with a shoulder injury. Cornerback Colton Hood was a limited participant as he is still in concussion protocol. Punter Jordan Stout (right knee) was also limited.

The Giants let running back Najee Harris and outside linebacker Jihad Ward go on Tuesday. They added only outside linebacker Trace Ford, so they still had a space on their 53-man roster.
