The NBA have unveiled what the 30 teams’ courts will look like for the 2026 NBA Cup.
Announced Tuesday, the courts will feature, as usual, colourful courts with an image of the NBA Cup at centre court and a facsimile of it making up parts of the key.
Unlike last season, however, when each team’s city name in its stylized font was put at centre court layered on top of the image of the cup, this year’s edition of the tournament will feature each team’s logo.
Another change from last season sees each team’s nickname faded into the background as opposed to an image that was blended in before, such as the team’s logo or, in the New York Knicks’ case, the city skyline.
Also new this year is the introduction of a tagline near the corner of the three-point line that reads, “30 Teams. 8 Advance. 1 Champion.”
Of interest to Raptors fans, the court’s main look won’t feature any of the team’s prominent colours of red, white or even the retro purple; instead, the main background of the court will be grey.
The 2026 NBA Cup kicks off with Group Stage play on Oct. 30. Toronto was drawn into the East A group, which also features the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets.
The championship game of the NBA Cup will go on Dec. 11 at Butler University’s Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The Knicks won the NBA Cup last season on their way toward winning the 2025-26 NBA championship.
