Things got extremely heated between Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson and Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb on the field at SoFi Stadium on Monday night.
Jackson punched Chubb in the face as a group of players stood near the Los Angeles Rams logo following the Buffalo Bills’ wild overtime win in Inglewood.

As players from both teams were exchanging jerseys and chatting, and with Bills quarterback Josh Allen doing an interview just feet away, Chubb started walking away from Jackson. Clearly, something was said between the two that Jackson didn’t appreciate.
Jackson followed after Chubb, confronted him and then suddenly swung and drilled him in the face.
That sent Chubb rearing back, and knocked his hat off his head down to the turf. Teammates and staff pulled the two players away from each other immediately, and the exchange quickly ended after that.
“It was a close game,” Chubb told the California Post. “And, you know, they always catch the second guy, so I let him swing and my teammates held me back and I just chilled.”
Jackson is in his sixth season with the Rams. The offensive lineman out of Iowa is in the second year of a three-year, $56.3 million deal. Chubb had two total tackles in the win for the Bills. The linebacker is in his first season with the Bills after reaching a three-year deal with the team in free agency March.

The incident between Jackson and Chubb came shortly after a thrilling “Monday Night Football” battle. The Bills ended up sneaking out a 37-34 win in overtime after a shootout in the fourth quarter, thanks largely to a blocked field goal in the extra period. The win pushed them to 4-1 on the year, while it dropped the Rams to 2-3.
While the incident didn’t happen during the game, the NFL is sure to investigate and hand out some sort of punishment in the coming days. A fight between players, especially one that was caught and broadcast on ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” is never a good look.
