Ramayana is merely a month away from its release, and the primary cast is leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. The main cast comprises Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, and Ravi Dubey as Laxman. Recently, on Ranbir’s birthday, the makers dropped a BTS video from the sets of Ramayana featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, shooting with his on-screen father Arun Govil, who plays Dashrath.
Amid a wave of promotions across cities, an Instagram page claimed that the Film City set of Ramayana caught fire.
Several pages amplified the claim, leading to speculation that the set was from Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. However, a report in The Free Press Journal states that the fire incident did not happen at the Ramayana set.
Meanwhile, according to reports, a fire broke out on the sets of the Colors TV show Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2 and spread to the sets of the show Hustle. However, there is no official confirmation about the incident yet. The reason behind the sets catching fire has also not been revealed.
Till now, no official statement has been shared by the makers of Pati Patni Aur Panga or Hustle.
Here’s why it was reported that a fire broke out on the sets of Ramayana
The reports of Monday’s fire incident were connected to Ramayana because, according to India Today, a minor fire broke out in a tent outside the studio where the Nitesh Tiwari directorial was being shot.
While talking about the minor fire incident, the President of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees, B.N. Tiwari, told the portal, “A few days ago, there was a fire incident at a nearby location, following which we reached out to all producers and asked them to ensure that proper safety measures were in place. However, due to carelessness, this fire incident happened on the set. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and the damage was also minor. However, this should serve as a warning to them and other film teams to be more careful and take adequate precautions against such accidents.”
Mumbai – A fire was reportedly reported at the set of the upcoming film Ramayana at Goregaon Film City in Mumbai, triggering panic at the location. Thick clouds of smoke were seen rising into the sky following the incident, with visuals from the spot showing a large plume of smoke. The day’s shooting for the film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, has reportedly been halted following the incident. No injuries have been reported so far.
