A new week is underway, as the Atlanta Falcons prepare to go on the road and take on their biggest rival, the New Orleans Saints. Usually, Thursday’s practice report is the second of the week, however this week the two teams play on Monday night, so Thursday was the first practice of the week. It’s a pretty light report for the Falcons, thankfully.
Let’s take a look!

Looking at the Falcons first, as mentioned, the report is pretty light. The only player to sit out of practice was veteran pass rusher Za’Darius Smith, which is expected. Additionally, linebacker Divine Deablo and defensive end Samson Ebukam were limited, but nothing to be concerned about this early in the week.

The Saints have a much larger injury report, as four linebackers were held out of practice on Thursday, including familiar face, former Falcons’ linebacker Kaden Elliss who has a calf injury. Not listed on the report, but notable, is that their starting running back Travis Etienne was placed on injured reserve on Thursday, due to a hamstring issue that will cause him to miss time. Expect to see a heavy dose of Alvin Kamara on Monday evening.
