A man who played tennis at the O2 Arena 45 times, now has his own special room.
Even better? It comes with a ping pong table!

The O2 has opened a new backstage room in honour of Roger Federer, exactly four years to the day since the tennis legend played the final competitive match of his career at the London venue.
The RF Room celebrates Federer’s long association with The O2, owned and operated by AEG International, where he made a record 45 sporting appearances between 2009 and 2022, culminating in his emotional career farewell at the Laver Cup on September 23, 2022.
The unveiling comes ahead of the Laver Cup’s ninth edition this weekend, as the star-studded event that was co-founded by the Swiss maestro himself returns to London this week.
“It feels special to have a dedicated room here at The O2,” Federer said. “I feel super connected to the arena and the city. I performed here for so many years and so many times that to forever be connected to the arena is beautiful.
“My memories are all positive. I retired four years ago to the day, and obviously those emotions I’ll never forget. I shared them with all of the crowds here, and the roars will never fade in my head.
“So, it’s nice that I can actually come back and relax here and watch other people do magic, while also knowing that maybe some of my favorite artists in the future are going to come out and hang out in the RF Room. It’s very cool.”
