Former SMU guard Kevin “Boopie” Miller, who went undrafted in June, has agreed to sign a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract with the Nuggets, reports Marc Stein of The Stein Line (Twitter link).

While several teams around the NBA are in the process of signing players and then waiving them 24 hours later for G League purposes, Stein suggests that Miller’s agreement with Denver includes an invitation to training camp.

Miller began his college career at Central Michigan and spent a season at Wake Forest before transferring to SMU in 2024. The 6’0″ guard had a huge year in his final college season in 2025/26, averaging 19.1 points, 6.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 34.3 minutes per game while registering a shooting line of .465/.414/.866 in 33 outings (all starts). The performance earned him a spot on the All-ACC second team.

After going undrafted, Miller caught on with the Bucks’ Summer League team and made five total appearances at the California Classic and in Las Vegas in July.

An Exhibit 10 contract can be converted into a two-way contract or can line a player up to receive a bonus worth a maximum of $91K if he’s waived and then spends at least 60 days with his team’s G League affiliate. The Nuggets’ three two-way slots are occupied by KJ Simpson, Bryce Hopkins, and Cam Whitmore, so the club probably plans on having Miller join the Grand Rapids Gold this fall, though perhaps he could supplant Simpson if he impresses in camp and the preseason.

Denver currently has 20 players under contract and the preseason maximum is 21, which means no corresponding roster move will be necessary to sign Miller.
