Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Landon Robinson beat the odds to make the team’s final roster. As a seventh-round rookie, little was expected of Robinson after the draft, but he fought hard and made the final 53-man roster.
He celebrated his first NFL game by paying homage to the university that turned him into a viable draft pick. When Robinson showed up to Week 1, he did so wearing his full Navy service uniform.
That was very likely the extent of Robinson’s impact in Week 1, as he was listed on the team’s inactive report 90 minutes before game time.

Despite that, Robinson has plenty of time to make his mark in the NFL. There’s a reason the Bengals kept him around and the NFL often operates with a next man up mentality. Robinson may have been inactive in Week 1, but he’ll get his chance before long.
Until then, it will be interesting to see whether Robinson’s game-day uniform was just something special he wanted to do in Week 1, or if he’ll continue supporting Navy throughout his rookie season.
