The Commanders have entering a game week. It’s finally here, with Sunday’s regular-season opener against the host Philadelphia Eagles just days away.
Washington head coach Dan Quinn started his Wednesday press conference by telling reporter there was a different “energy” in the Commanders training complex, with a game that counts on the immediate horizon.

Quinn said the Commanders will have every active player available at practice (same as it was on Monday), and then quarterback Jayden Daniels took the podium after the workout to preview Week 1 against the Eagles.
New offensive coordinator David Blough and defensive coordinator Daronte Jones were major topics of conversation in these pressers — they’ll talk on Thursday — as new elements to how the Commanders operate.
Daniels received tons of work during training camp, with his pinpoint accuracy on regular display. He got tons of work with Terry McLaurin and the rest of the Commanders receiver corps, which prepared the passing game well to open the season.
