Giants manager Tony Vitello ejected for second time in a week

San Francisco Giants skipper Tony Vitello was ejected for the second time this week.

Vitello was ejected against the Cincinnati Reds on Aug. 26, and again two days later against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The first-year manager, who spent the previous eight seasons at Tennessee, was sent to the locker room early in the third inning after arguing a fair ball call that he thought was foul.

The ejection is Vitello’s fifth of his young MLB career. He wasn’t the only one sent out early — Giants ace Logan Webb was also ejected from the contest, along with Vitello. (Webb was not pitching Friday.)
