Throughout two preseason contests, it would be an understatement to say that the Kansas City Chiefs‘ backup offensive linemen have underwhelmed.
The team apparently shares some concerns with fans.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chiefs are sending a 2028 seventh round pick to the New York Giants in return for guard Joshua Ezeudu.
The Giants selected Ezeudu in the third round (67th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. The 6-4 and 310-pound North Carolina product has appeared in 33 games in New York appeared in 33 games over his first three seasons with ten starts. He has played at both left guard and left tackle.

Ezeudu did not play in 2025 due to a calf injury. He re-signed with the Giants in March.
Kansas City will need to make a corresponding move to put Ezeudu on the 90-man roster. The Chiefs currently have 15 offensive linemen on their active roster ahead of Sunday’s mandatory cutdown to 53 players.
