Thea Frodin and Jack Kennedy are coming to NYC!
Frodin, 17, and Kennedy, 18, won the USTA 18s titles at San Diego and Kalamazoo respectively on Sunday to claim main draw wild cards into the singles draws at Flushing Meadows.

Kennedy, who advanced when Wimbledon boys’ champion Jordan Lee was forced to retire after just three games, is a Long Island native who is stoked to play a Grand Slam main draw in his back yard.
“We’re in main draw, and that’s also a really exciting feeling,” said Kennedy according to Zoo Tennis. “It’s my backyard tournament, a tournament I’ve been going to since I was five years old, and it’s really cool to play on the biggest stages with the biggest names out there, giving myself a chance to do a little bit of damage there.”
Kennedy, who topped out at No.3 in the junior rankings, will attend the University of Virginia in the fall.
Frodin, 17, defeated Janae Preston 6-1, 6-0 in the girls’ 18s final at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. The Woodland Hills, California native was the body double for young Serena in the movie King Richard, topped out at No.11 in the junior rankings.
