The Cincinnati Bengals season ticket holders elected two players well before their time into the team’s Ring of Honor yesterday with tight end Bob Trumpy and running back James Brooks.
Trumpy caught comparisons to Rob Gronkowski for his size and ability as a route runner, well before any tight end was expected to be running routes so fluidly.

Brooks helped pioneer what has become the prototype for what is expected of modern-day running backs. He was very talented as a runner, but he was also a weapon in the passing game. Head coach Sam Wyche also moved him all around the formation. Lining him up out wide and having the ability to do it in the hurry up offense.

Landon Robinson was a fan favorite seventh-round pick by the Bengals. He reminds some, in frame only, of Geno Atkins. But he’s a “sleeper” because he has a long way to go. Lawrence, BJ Hill, TJ Slaton and Jonathan Allen aren’t going anywhere. They’re still hoping Kris Jenkins develops, too, never mind the other guys on the depth chart. Robinson has some huge upside that could see him make plenty of noise over the summer and during preseason games, though.
