The 49ers signed punter Jack Bouwmeester to a three-year deal, the team announced Saturday.

In a corresponding move, the 49ers placed undrafted free agent on the active/non-football injury list.

Bouwmeester, 27, joins Corliss Waitman at the position on the roster.

Bouwmeester played at Texas (2025), Utah (2022-24) and Michigan State (2019-20) in his college career. He went undrafted after averaging 44.5 yards per punt last season for the Longhorns, with a long of 58.

In his college career, Bouwmeester had 213 punts for 9,338 yards (43.8 average).
