The overriding narrative for the Dallas Cowboys this offseason is that they have to fix their defense. The offense is contender-worthy, but that won’t get you very far if the defense makes every opposing offense also look contender-worthy.
To that end, the Cowboys overhauled almost everything on that side of the ball. New defensive coordinator in Christian Parker, new scheme in a hybrid 3-4 base. New players, new coaching staff.

But one problem must be solved on the field. That is getting turnovers. Last year the Cowboys were -9 in turnover margin, tied for the third-worst margin in the league. That’s not going to win you a lot of football games. On top of that, they only had six interceptions all year.
A few days ago we asked you who would lead the Cowboys in interceptions in 2026? The vote was pretty spread out with veteran DaRon Bland winning at 34%, but all five of our participants got 13% or more of the vote. That shows some uncertainty and that fans are looking all around for production from the defense.
