Gauahar Khan has come out to support her husband, Zaid Darbar, amid the backlash he is facing for banter with Kushal Tandon. Kushal, who had once dated Gauahar, is also a part of this season of ‘The Alliance’ along with Zaid and many others. While the two were expected to be at loggerheads, so far things seem to have remained cordial between the two.
Kushal’s statement
Amid all this, a clip from one of the episodes with Kushal taking a dig at Gauahar and Zaid has started a discussion on social media. It all started when Zaid was narrating how he asked for a cigarette from Kushal as the ones he had got were not good enough. As Arslan Goni and Mini Mathur were working out in the gym, they heard Kushal then poking fun at Gauahar and Zaid.
“Tujhe saali, saare meri cheezein pasand aati hai,” he joked. Leaving Zaid smiling but Arsalan seemed to disagree hinting at not to make such statements. Many on social media bashed Kushal for below-the-belt remark. At the same time, Darbar not reacting to the comment in an aggressive manner didn’t go down well with many on social media. Soon, Gauahar’s husband faced a lot of backlash and social media policing.
Gauahar reacts
Now, Khan has reacted to the backlash on social media. “Killer performance with zero insecurities,” the Jhallah Walla actress wrote on social media. She further shared, “The more secure you are, the less offense you take.”
Gauahar further added, “Not every thing needs a knee jerk reaction. Only the wise know to do better. Proud of you zaid darbar.” Ankita Lokhande’s husband, Vicky Jain also shared a lengthy note praising Zaid and his conduct inside the house. The post was later shared by Gauahar.
“Not every moment deserves to be judged with the harshest possible interpretation. Sometimes, people respond with innocence, simplicity and without overthinking the situation. That’s who Zaid is. He doesn’t carry malice, agendas or hidden intentions in his heart,” Vicky wrote.
“Before labelling someone or questioning his self- respect, remember that kindness and innocence are qualities too and in today’s world, they’re often misunderstood. Let’s choose empathy over judgment,” he further wrote.
