The attorney for Terrion Arnold claimed his client, who was waived by the Detroit Lions on Tuesday, has already received interest from multiple other NFL teams amid his pending trial on felony charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.
After the Lions on June 29 announced their decision to part ways with Arnold, Florida prosecutors requested the judge reconsider allowing him not to wear a GPS monitor upon his release – a decision tied to the cornerback’s professional standing. But though Arnold is without a team for the time being, attorney Harvey Steinberg said his client “has already been contacted by three other NFL clubs regarding his services,” according to AL.com.

Writing in a response to prosecutors’ motion renewing the push for a GPS monitor, Steinberg wrote Arnold expects to join another team “within 30 days.”
A July 6 hearing has been set to revisit Chief Judge Christopher C. Sabella’s initial ruling.
“I suspect that Mr. Arnold has a paparazzi monitor. If he’s late for practice, ESPN will let us know. … If he violates the conditions of his bond, he will be found because they will find you,” Sabella said June 29 about his decision not to force Arnold to wear a monitor. “And you will come back because the law will bring you back. And then you will sit with no bond until your trial in this case.”
Arnold was released from jail on June 30 after posting bond, which Sabella set at $1 million.

The Lions officially waived Arnold on July 1. Teams have until July 6 at 4 p.m. ET to submit a waiver claim for him. If he is not claimed, he could subsequently sign a new contract with any organization.
With his trial ongoing, however, Arnold could be subject to the commissioner’s exempt list – which would place him on paid leave as the legal process plays out – if he signs with a team.
Prosecutors allege Arnold arranged for three men, whom he wrongly suspected of stealing luxury goods and $100,000 in cash from him at an Airbnb rental, to be abducted and beaten in Tampa on Feb. 4. Arnold faces three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy to kidnap and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
