Naagin 7 has been gaining headlines for all the right and the wrong reasons. From superb acting skills to over-the-top and shoddy VFX; the show gets both praised and bashed on social media every now and then. When it comes to the special effects of the thriller series, every episode starts a thread on how poor the VFX was.

In one of the recent episodes, an unedited blue screen made its way to the final copy and became a topic of trolling. Amid all the backlash, Ekta Kapoor has now come out to praise the editor of the show. Not just that, she also urged everyone to apologise to him. Ekta shared a video with her editor, Vicky and introduced how his “blue screen” has become a topic of discussion in entire Mumbai.

Ekta praises editor

“I can change a lover, but I can’t change Vicky ji from my life. Chahe main 50 shows banaun, mere saare shows main Vicky ji ek haath toh maarte hain (Even if I make 50 shows, Vicky ji will have a hand in all of them). He is the best editor in the country. Apologise to this man, he’s the best in the business. Vicky ji, you are great. Be it Naagin or Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, this man has edited every show of ours for 20 years,” she mentioned.

“Directors change, writers change, but for us there’s only one man who does all our work, Vicky ji. Even if we have 50 shows, there’s only one editor. Isliye shayad zayada kaam de diya. Inko puri raat hum awake rakhte hain (That’s probably why we gave him more work. We keep him awake the whole night). He is the best,” she further said in the video.

The editor was seen getting teary-eyed as Ekta continued to shower him with praises. Kapoor’s one of the biggest franchise – Naagin – is now in its seventh season and features Priyanka Chahar Choudhary in the lead.
