STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — A national women’s clothing and accessories store opened in State College on Tuesday.
There was a long line of Penn State students lined up before Pitaya opened at 10 a.m.
The store’s stock changes almost weekly, keeping up with the latest trends and styles.
The first thirty customers in line got a thirty dollar gift card while another thirty customers got a ten dollar gift card.
The store owner was impressed with the turnout.
“It’s a perfect fit for us; we’re located next to a lot of Big Ten schools. When I came here in December to look at State College, I was very impressed with the town, the campus, with the traffic, with the village; It’s a fantastic place,” said owner Michael Mazor.
Pitaya has a total of sixteen stores nationwide and its newest location is on East College Avenue next to the student bookstore.
