Summer’s coming, so that means it’s prime time to take stock of your swimwear and add a new suit or two to your collection. Like jeans, bathing suits can be difficult to shop for, but I’ve always found that starting the hunt with some inspiration helps a ton. That’s why this season, I’m taking a cue from a few A-listers who have recently been spotted in very cute swimsuits.

This spring, the former Real Housewife was spotted in Miami in a super chic, belted one-piece. The black suit featured a deep V-neck and a thin belt at the waist that buckled with eye-catching gold hardware. She finished off her look with an oversize straw hat and a designer tote.
Charlie Theron hit the beach in Hawaii a few weeks ago in a sunshine yellow bathing suit that I can’t stop thinking about. While her bandeau style was stylish, it was the happy color that really stuck with me. Butter yellow can wash me out, but this punchy shade is universally flattering.
During a recent getaway in Mexico, Selena Gomez donned a pastel pink strapless one-piece. Her look was perfectly flirty and feminine, down to her simple sun hat and retro sunnies. Strapless suits are especially helpful if you want to avoid any awkward tan lines.
Heidi Klum opted for a cherry-covered bikini for a dip in the ocean, and her suit has been on my Pinterest board ever since. While the supermodel went for a white bikini with red cherries, any fruit print would make a splash this summer. If you want to go the extra mile, match your sunglasses to your suit, a la Klum.
Sexy doesn’t have to mean skimpy. Natalie Portman wore a sultry one-piece when in St. Bart’s a few months ago and looked absolutely incredible. Her suit featured a plunging neckline that went down to the middle of her torso, a tie at the waist and a strappy back for good measure.
